Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots. Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. Doing a send and receive manually or waiting on the scheduled send and receive on the client does not update new mail items.

I checked on web mail here it is.one account is configured on two computers, one is configured with POP & second is IMAP. Missing mail is showing on POP account Pc but not showing on IMAP pc. If I have the inbox selected and I get new mail, I will not see the new mail appear in the inbox automatically during a scheduled send and receive. I use both webmail and Outlook desktop client to access my Gmail. I am normally looking at the All Mail folder on Outlook. Whenever I drag messages from the All Mail folder to the Trash folder on Outlook, these messages remain visible in the All Mail folder mailbox not updating on IMAP when accessed via webmail.

Maybe some encoding behavior or just a different linefeed or something that has changed over the diagnose Office activation conflicts years... I’ve never heard of setting a path before for email, so apologies if this is a simple solution to those who come across this in the future. If you can, turn off IMAP, require 2FA, and use the native outlook client. Having the same issue with some of our accounts on IMAP as well.

By web app, I mean webmail accessed via Firefox or Chrome for (say) Windows 10, not smartphone app. My comment about 3rd party email -- is a 3rd email app called Email - Edison Mail (from the App Store) I set up my mail accounts in the app and everything works as it should. I’ve tried repairing the data file, removing and re-adding the account, rebooting, re-installing Outlook/Office, running SFC/DISM, all to no avail. Their webmail works fine, and when this account is added to the Windows Mail app, everything works perfectly. One word of warning - you shouldn’t set that interval to more often than maybe every 10 minutes, every 5 would be the absolutel minimum I’d set. If you set too often you run the risk that Outlook could start the next download before finishing the previous download and that could cause duplicate messages and other possible issues.

While these solutions work, there is are chance that it will happen again. To avoid that, you have to take some rebuild Outlook data file quickly precautionary steps. Pit Stop - Most of our email accounts are for small retail location. We just use POP in those locations because they do not access their mail from any other device or location.

I deleted the Apple Mail app from the phone, reinstalled from the App Store. It's just a little bit technical, but we have an IMAP proxy that chooses from some different backend IMAP servers. If the user account ends up on an old IMAP server implementation (in that case f.i. a Cyrus imapd 2.4.17), IMAP Client of iOS 18 Mail app doesn't work.



If I click off of inbox and down to sent item, then click back on inbox, all of the new mail will populate. The problem can be caused by either improper settings or a damaged send/receive group within Outlook. At first, I was thinking it may be an issue with certificates, but it's not... I went to a bunch of online TLS tests and the mail server is fine and the certificates are trusted... So only wait when some "smarties" from apple IT solve problem in app ... Apple programmers use no CD/CI - simple sometimes update by "sales-manager requests", and without any critical-bug-checks ...

Outlook not syncing IMAP emails



Everything works great for the most part, except with our IMAP users. IMAP users are not receiving new email into their inboxes unless they either click off of Inbox and back on, or close outlook and reopen. These are the common reasons why the IMAP folder is not syncing.
